What the calculator does with your data

Your weight, bedtime, metabolism options and caffeine entries are processed in your browser. They are not sent to our servers.

What is stored on your device

The site uses your browser's localStorage to remember your theme choice and your calculator settings so they are there next time. This data never leaves your browser and is not sent to Google Analytics. The Reset button clears your calculator settings, and you can clear everything in your browser's site settings.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how many people visit CaffeineLeft, which pages they view and how they found the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (their names begin with _ga) to tell visitors and visits apart, and it collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, your device, browser and operating system, and the page that referred you. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses.

What you enter into the calculator (weight, bedtime, drinks and results) is not sent to Google Analytics. The site does not display advertising.

The information is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. To opt out, you can block cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Fonts and hosting

Fonts are served from this site, so your browser does not contact Google or any other third party to load them (analytics is described above). Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs such as IP address and requested page for security and reliability.

Messages you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.
